The Woodpecker story began in a small garage in Bristol nearly 50 years ago by Bruce Ker whose passion for wood and commitment to deliver the absolute best has been handed down through 3 generations to his son Nelson, and grandson Darwyn today. Today our extended family of ‘Woodpeckers’ are committed to those same values, genuinely caring and doing whatever it takes to make the difference for you and your family.

And of course, all our wood is sourced from responsibly managed, sustainable forests and is fully certified to the highest standards with FSC® or PEFC certifications; we’re also committed to becoming the first carbon negative flooring company by 2030 and creating the Woodpecker forest of tomorrow, planting 50,000 oak saplings over 200 acres in the beautiful countryside around our home in South Wales.
